B vitamins (B-complex) are essential for a number of important functions in the body. Beetroot, also known as a superfood, contains a lot of vitamins and minerals (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium). In addition, it is rich in the plant dye betanin (betacyanin) and the amino acid betaine, which have a beneficial effect on the liver and blood vessels.
